AWESOME SEASON...THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!

LAST GAME

Sadly our UPWARD season is over but what a finish! God blessed us with great weather and our Longhorns were AWESOME! Wow what teamwork and concentration they exhibited. It seems that our season just flew by and we will sure miss seeing all of you.

We want to thank all our parents/family that shared your children with us and supported the team. We could not have done it without all of you! Thanks for the snacks, encouragement, friendship, and prayers. A special thank you to one of our parents who purchased the trophies. They were a huge success! In addition, thank you Mrs. Allen for keeping us all up to date on the blog [This is coach Dean's wife, coach Daustin's mother-in-law. Daustin snuck this one in as a special editor this week :) ].

GO LONGHORNS ! !

Wow, could it get any more windy today! It was sooo cold and windy and our Longhorns were feeling it. However, they gave it a good try and hopefully next week will be warmer!

Don't forget, our parent game this Tuesday (27th) with pizza following the game. I'm sure the Longhorns will take it easy on thier parents...NOT! Get ready for a great game and fellowship afterwards. Coach Daustin will be back from his cruise:)

CHILLY GAME FIVE

It was soooo cold and windy today but our Longhorns kept things heated up! Even though Coach Daustin wasn't there to help guide us, everyone played their best and beyond. Goals were made by team members that had not scored before...way to go! We have the best team and they play so well together.

Our practice game where the parents play against the team is scheduled for Tuesday, October 27. It has always been very exciting and interesting in the past. We would love to see as many parents play as possible and see who is the greatest! Get those muscles limbered up and your kicking foot in shape:) We will have pizza for everyone afterwards.

We will play our next game on FIELD 6 at 11:00 a.m. (Pray for sunshine!) Zak's mom (Jody) will supply our game day snacks. The church will have free hot drinks.

Thanks to all of you who have supported our Longhorns and have furnished snacks and other goodies. We sincerely appreciate you!

Game Four - Mid Season Mark

WOW, it is hard to believe that our UPWARD season is half over. It’s gong by so fast! Our Longhorns are getting better and better…running, kicking, teamwork! They all have progressed greatly. Our next game is on Field 7 at 10:00 a.m. It's going to be a great game with the Gators!

REMINDER: Tuesday is picture day. Please arrive as early as you can so that we can get our pictures made and practice as long as possible.

Game Three

With the cool crisp winds of autumn blowing, our Longhorns faced their biggest challenge of the season so far. However, their teamwork, passing, and excitement kept us energized. What a great exhibition of working together Longhorns!

We had a great time Tuesday sharing ice cream and hot chocolate last Tuesday after practice. Thanks to all you parents for allowing your children to fellowship and share with us.

Don’t forget practice on Tuesday at 6:00 as we continue to review our drills and Bible verses. Thank you Angela for our snacks this past Saturday. Mrs. Raylette Gilkey will provide our game day snacks on Saturday (10th). Our next game is with the Buckeyes at 11:00 on Field 7.

PICTURE DAY

Team and individual pictures will be taken on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 13, during our practice time. The photographer will take us by teams sometime during our practice hour. As soon as everyone arrives we will assemble for pictures. Please arrive before 6:00 p.m. so that everyone can have their pictures taken and we can use the remainder of our time for practice or a scrimmage game.

• Players will need to wear their uniforms (Blue)


• Money is due on the day pictures are taken


• Pictures will be returned by Game 7 or 8

We will have the price sheet available at both the game on Saturday (3rd) and practice on Tuesday (6th) and will be glad to answer any questions you may have.
